Ive removed the board and cleaned the connectors and cables with alcohol. I have completely submerged the board in alcohol as the metal shields are SOLDERED onto the board. Is there a way I can get in there to clean off corrosion? Also, the LCD and Digitizer sockets are burnt out?...

If not, you may have blown the backlight, unfortunately this would need someone who can microlsder to repair the issue. Or, you may have purchased a faulty part, try another screen and see if that resolves your issue....

I took it apart, rinsed everything with 18M-ohm water and dried everything with acetone (I work in a chemistry lab, it has it’s perks). Right afterwards I was able to reconnect everything and it turned on! The screen had some water under it, so I placed it in a dessicator over the weekend to pull it out....

In order to figure out if it is indeed the screen or the video chip on your motherboard (as Tyler suggested), I recommend connecting your laptop to an external monitor via a VGA cable and the VGA port of your laptop....

Kim Kim, it is a common fault with this model. You will have to do it in stages. Remove the drive as shown on on here. then first you remove the terminal PCB by unscrewing the screws, then desolder the solder connection and remove the connectors....

Chosen Solution I dropped my tablet and now it won’t turn on. Im assuming something inside broke considering the side with the buttons (right side) detached from the screen near the bottom corner. This is a loaded question as there’s no way of saying unless its opened up to see whats all is broke. Did the screen break at all? Chosen Solution my screen is cracked up along the sides and i know how to fix that but it fell off at the top, the glass space right above the actual screen where the speaker and camera are. i can see the actual camera and a cable was poking out before but now it has broken off. i don’t understand how i would fix the screen because since that part is broken i couldn’t hold it up perpendicular since there is no screen at the top, it also has lines all over it and they get worse the longer the phone is unlocked, please help!...
Chosen Solution While attempting to change my LCD screen, when I got to the part of removing the left screw that is half threaded it just turns but never unscrews. Can anyone help? I use a pair of needle-nose Tweezerman tweezers to grab right behind the head of the screw and pull outward, while simultaneously unscrewing it with my other hand. Also, if the screw is loose but just not coming out at all, sometimes tilting the laptop so that the laptop is facing the ground can cause it to fall out, or at least come out to the point where you can pull it out with tweezers....

Chosen Solution Hi. I smashed the front glass of my Ipad air, and today fitted a replacement. It worked fine for a while, but then the screen became unresponsive at first in the bottom half of the screen; other times the entire screen not working. Then suddenly it would work fine again for a couple of minuets, only to repeat the above shortly afterwards. The screen also occasionally starts shaking violently with no input from my finger....
